| MacNut Farms is an ideal venue for a group excursion with a
difference. Just a comfortable
50 minutes from downtown Auckland along good sealed roads,
with plenty of interesting sights along the way, and there is ample parking and easy bus
access and turning.
A guided tour
for a very low $5 per person (minimum 12 people) includes a railed walk through the
orchard to view the producing trees, processing plant and lakes. The tour outlines the history of macadamias, the NZ industry, botanical points of
interest, picking and processing methods, and
finally the macadamia products.
The highlights of a tour include trees laden with Macadamias. our
processing plant, paths paved with Macadamia shell, our cracking
equipment and our huge lily pond. Tours aren't the only way to visit the farm of course - wandering
around by yourself without a guide can be equally rewarding; the staff
are happy to answer your questions about macadamias or the farm.
Self-guided tour sheets are available on request.
The Macnuts shop has a large selection of
Macadamias, ideal for gifts (or for personal consumption),
such as the all new Wasabi, Smoked Hickory, Roasted and Salted,
Natural and Chocolate Coated.
Macadamia meal can also be purchased for cooking purposes.
Nut crackers are available for
those who like the challenge of cracking the worlds hardest shell.
Gourmet cooking oil and macadamia cosmetics
are also available.
There are many
other gardens in the Helensville area which are
open to the public. Visit New Zealand Gardens
Online for a complete list.

Hi Macnuts Team
I would like to thank you very much for the wonderful time my
students had visiting your place last Thursday
The tour was very informative and interesting and the walk around
the farm was just beautiful. Many students bought your products and
were very impressed in them.
I was very grateful for all the assistance I received in planning my
class trip - most places I tried were not interested in ringing me
back and were not as professional as I found your company to be.
I've been recommending Macnuts Farm to all sorts of people and will
certainly visit again.
Kind Regards,"

"Hi Macnut Farms
Just to say from our group - many thanks for looking after us so well
on our visit to you yesterday (26.4.07). The
morning Devonshire tea was absolutely "unbeatable" (no pun intended!)
and so well and quickly done for such a large group ... personally, I
will come back just for the huge scones alone!
Also the orchard tour was very interesting / informative - and well
presented. Not always easy to do with a large crowd. All involved get
our "big tick" for 101% effort... Just had
to let you know."
